SnapTravel, a Toronto, Canada-based conversational commerce platform to book hotel rooms, raised $8M in Series A funding.
The round was led by iNovia Capital with participation from existing investors Lightbank, Bee Partners, Hedgewood – as well as strategic investor Peter Kern.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations to continue to develop the technology and its business reach.
Led by CEO Hussein Fazal and CTO Henry Shi, SnapTravel provides a conversational commerce platform that uses a combination of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML) features to allow users to find and book hotel rooms over SMS and Facebook Messenger.
