Glympse, a company that develops a location sharing app, closed a $7.5m Series B funding.
The round was led by Menlo Ventures and Ignition Partners.
The company intends to use the funds to develop new products and features.
Led by co-founder and CEO Bryan Trussel, Glympse currently offers an app that allows iPhone and Android users to dinamically share their location with anyone, update their status on Facebook or Twitter, and set a timer to specify how long they want their ongoing location to be visible.
In conjunction with the funding, Pravin Vazirani from Menlo Ventures and Michelle Goldberg from Ignition will join the company’s board. According to the company, the app has just passed 1 million users.
