Factmata, a London, UK-based developer of an artificial intelligence powered platform aimed at reducing online misinformation, raised £575K in seed funding.

Backers included Mark Cuban, Mark Pincus, Ross Mason, and Sunil Paul.

The company intends to use the funds to develop the platform.

Led by Dhruv Ghulati, CEO, Dr. Robert Stojnic, CTO, Thiago Galery, Chief NLP Architect, and Rishabh Shukla, NLP Engineer, Reducing online misinformation using artificial intelligence, Factmata leverages academic research in natural language processing and information retrieval to develop a fact-checking systems for detecting fake news, tracking rumours and hoaxes, tracking promises and more.
