Echo, a London, UK-based provider of a medication management app, raised £7m in Series A funding.
The round was led by White Star Capital with participation from MMC Ventures, LocalGlobe, Global Founders Capital, Rocket Internet and Public.io.
The company, which had previously raised £1.8m in seed funding from LocalGlobe, Global Founders Capital and Rocket Internet, will use the funds to continue to expand operations and its business reach.
Led by Sai Lakshmi, CEO, and Stephen Bourke, CXO, Echo provides a mobile app featuring a smart reminders to alert people when to take their medication and when they are running low.
Available for free on iOS, Android and via the official NHS app store, the app works with the majority of NHS England GP surgeries (90%) integrating with existing GP NHS England practice workflows and technology.
