Yoti Raises £8M in Funding

Yoti, a London, UK-based digital identity app, raised £8m in funding.

Backers included existing angel investors and two founders Robin Tombs and Noel Hayden. This round values the company to £65m.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its UK growth and grow its consumer network.

Led by Robin Tombs, CEO, Yoti provides an app which lets people to take a selfie and scan a photo ID with their mobile phone and use this selfie/photo to  prove their identity or age to businesses/organizations. The app is available for iOS and Android.

The company currently employs 200 people in London.
