Grocery Delivery Platform Supermercato24 Raises €13M in Series B

Supermercato24, a Verona, Italy-based same-day grocery delivery service, raised €13m in Series B funding.

The round was led by FII Tech Growth (€8m), with participation from new investor Endeavor Catalyst and existing investors 360 Capital Partners, and Innogest.

The company intends to use the funding to continue to develop the platform, to expand the service to new markets and add to the management team.

Led by CEO Federico Sargenti, Supermercato24 allows customers to order from local supermarkets via web and smartphone. Personal shoppers then pick the ordered products in store and deliver them same-day or within an hour.
The service is active in more than 23 cities across the country in 7 regions
The company, a clone of Instacart, has 15 partnerships with large retailers including Coop Lombardia and Pam.

Supermercato24 was founded by Enrico Pandian in 2014.
