CashShield Raises $20m in Series B Funding

CashShield, a Singapore-based provider of online fraud management solutions for mid- to large-sized enterprises, raised $20m in Series B funding.

The round, which brings total financing to $25.5m, was led by Temasek and GGV Capital with participation from Tony Fadell, Wavemaker Partners and Tao Zhang.

The company intends to use the funds to strengthen its end-to-end fraud technology.

Led by Justin Lie, CEO and founder, CashShield is an online fraud management solution for mid- to large-sized enterprises. Combining artificial intelligence (A.I.) and Wall Street high-frequency trading techniques, the company’s platform secures transactions and consumer accounts from cybercriminals, without the need for human intervention.
To date, CashShield has secured billions in Gross Merchandise Value for companies in various verticals including e-commerce, digital goods, telecommunications and online travel, screening transactions across more than 190 countries.
The company has global operations in the U.S., Europe, China and Southeast Asia.
