Sala International Receives £11.5M Equity Investment from LDC

Sala International, a Shoeburyness, UK-based document archiving and records storage company, has received a £11.5m equity investment from LDC.
With the deal, LDC has acquired a majority stake in the business. As part of the transaction, a new CEO, Tomas Gronager, will lead the senior management team, which comprises Michael Davies, Trevor Cook, and Trevor Basset.
LDC Director, Yann Souillard, will sit on Sala’s board.
Sala plans to grow organically and through acquisitions, also expanding its full Integrated Records Management (IRM) offer in the UK. The company’s IRM outsourcing solution consists of three main activities: Archiving (storage), Scan-on-demand/Software as a Service and Destruction.
Founded in 1994, Sala currently serves over 200 organisations in sectors including Financial Services, Public Sector, Healthcare Support Services and Retail
The company has recently opened a new facility near Leeds.
