In conjunction with the funding, Wonderschool’s general partner Jeff Jordan joined the board.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate expansion in existing markets of Los Angeles, New York and the San Francisco Bay Area, and develop new products and services to be added to the platform.
Led by Chris Bennett, co-founder and CEO, Wonderschool provides a platform that allows educators and caregivers to start, operate and grow their own in-home preschools and daycares. Wonderschool connects school Directors with a community of peers and mentors, and as a part of its network, small businesses have the tools and support to operate at the scale of larger centers and chains.
The company now has 140 schools in operation, nearly 500 educators in the process of opening and a cadence of approximately 70 new school Directors signing on to open their own schools per month.
