Treez, an Oakland, California-based provider of point of sale software for the legal cannabis industry, raised $11.5m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Intrinsic Capital Partners, with participation from AFI Capital Partners, Welcan Capital, Salveo Capital, New York ARC Angels and Arcadian Funds.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand its presence, pursue market expansion opportunities and invest in partnerships to connect each link in the supply chain.
Launched in 2016 by Shareef El-Sissi and CEO John Yang, Treez is an enterprise quality retail management software serving dispensaries in the legal cannabis industry in the United States. The company’s software solution is designed to ensure compliance, increase data driven decision making and improve productivity for dispensaries.
