Scientific Conservation, Inc., a San Francisco, CA-based building energy management company, has raised $9.6m in its Series C venture capital funding.
The round was led by existing investor Triangle Peak Partners, with participation from existing investors DFJ, DFJ Growth and Westly Group.
The company also completed the acquisition of Servidyne, Inc., an Atlanta, Georgia-based company that provides comprehensive energy efficiency and demand response solutions, sustainability programs, and other products and services designed to enhance the operating and financial performance of existing buildings.
The new combined company, SCIenergy, Inc., will formally launch next month to provide a cloud-based energy management platform for building owners and operators. It has more than 160 employees worldwide, with customers in the USA, Canada, Europe, Asia and Australia.
SCIenergy has an Operations & Technology Center in Atlanta.
