Mosaic Ventures, a London, UK-based Series A venture capital firm run by Silicon Valley veterans, closed a $150m second fund.
Led by experienced investors Simon Levene and Toby Coppel, who have collectively amassed 40+ years of US venture and tech-industry experience,
Mosaic takes a ‘Silicon Valley’-style attitude to risk taking: making big bets on technologies with the potential to shape the future.
To date, the firm has invested in over 20 tech companies, in sectors at the frontier of innovation including blockchain & crypto, machine intelligence learning, mobility & location services and next generation, consumerised fintech (unbundling banks).
The list includes Blockchain, Convoy, Habito, Nexar, Veriff, Blockstream and company builder Entrepreneur First.
The investment team has grown having recently added:
– Bart Dessaint, an entrepreneur and former member of the a16z team;
– Jacob Goodwin, a data scientist and machine learning specialist;
– Juliet Bailin, formerly of Insight venture Partners in New York; and
– Jacob Goodwin, a data scientist and machine learning specialist.
Chief Operating Officer Michael Odai has been an integral member of the team since the founding of Mosaic.
