Esperanto Technologies, a Mountain View, CA-based developer of high-performance, energy-efficient computing solutions for artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) applications, closed its $58m Series B funding.
This Series B round brings the total investment to $63m. Backers were not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds for product development of its first generation 7nm solutions which will include more than a thousand energy efficient ET-Minion™ RISC-V cores on a single 7nm chip.
Led by president and CEO Dave Ditzel, Esperanto Technologies develops high-performance, energy-efficient computing solutions for AI / ML / DL based on the open standard RISC-V instruction set architecture. The company operates multiple engineering sites in the US and Europe. It has a staff in excess of a hundred engineers, including AI experts, processor architects, chip designers, software developers and system engineers.
