Lightfoot, an Exeter, UK-based cleantech engineering company, raised £3.2m in funding.
BGF (Business Growth Fund) made the investment along with Martin McCourt, former CEO of Dyson. In conjunction with the funding, McCourt joined the board as a non-executive Chairman along with Ned Dorbin.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate expansion by bringing on board more people and increasing its engineering and sales capacity.
Launched in 2013 by Mark Roberts, Lightfoot is an innovative cleantech engineering company which provides driver improvement technology that saves fuel, reduces accidents and lowers emissions.
The company’s solutions are now used by over 20,000 drivers across more than 150 clients including Virgin Media, Dixons Carphone, Southern Water, Ecotricity, Greencore and Dyno Rod.
