GoInstant, a San Francisco-based web sharing startup, has raised $1.7m in initial seed funding.
The round was led by Freestyle Capital, with participation from Baseline Ventures, Greylock Partners, Social Leverage, Chamath Palihapitiya, Yuri Milner and Ed Sim.
Co-founded by Jevon MacDonald and Gavin Uhma, GoInstant also launched its technology enabling shared web-browsing capability for on-demand, real-time collaboration.
With GoInstant, multiple customers, business partners and colleagues can join online sessions together, browse the web and interact creating a web-sharing experience, without downloads or plugins.
All interactions occur on the web in real-time.
By applying the company’s technology, businesses can create a multitude of new applications in areas such as sales, support, and eCommerce, and improve web-based processes for transaction support, customer response mechanisms, customer lead generation, and application orientation and training services.
