Orbel Health Limited, a London, UK-based healthcare start up, recently closed a £250k seed funding round from an LBA syndicate including sector specialists.
The company intends to use the funds to further advance and trial its product.
Founded by CTO Adam Sutcliffe, Orbel Health has developed – with assistance from Design London, a joint venture between the Royal College of Art and Imperial College – a patented personal alcohol hand disinfector dispenser to tackle all the problems associated with hand hygiene.
Designed to be used by healthcare professionals to help prevent the spread of hospital acquired infections such as Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Orbel provides single handed, single action use. The disposable dispenser holds 50ml of gel, which will yield approximately 45 doses.
