Omie Raises $20M in Series B Funding

-

omieOmie, a São Paulo, Brazil-based SaaS SMB financial management provider, received $20m in Series B funding.

Riverwood Capital made the investment. In conjunction with the funding, Joe De Pinho, Vice President of Riverwood, will join Omie’s board.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth for its SaaS platform and advance innovations in its financial services offering.

Launched in 2013 by Marcelo Lombardo, CEO, and Rafael Olmos, CTO, Omie provides a SaaS based platform that allows SMB managers to optimize and manage all aspects of their businesses, with modules including:
– billing,
– inventory,
– working capital management, and
– point-of-sale integrations, as well as
– financial services (e.g. working capital financing).
Now, the company plans to strengthen its direct sales and its franchise model, through which it expects to have a local presence in all Brazilian metropolitan centers.

Prior to Riverwood, Omie had already received a $ 7 million investment from Brazilian VC fund Astella Investimentos, announced in September 2018.
