-

Demibooks, Inc., a Chicago, IL-based digital publishing technologies company, has received an equity investment from Educational Development Corporation (NASDAQ: EDUC).

The company intends to use the funding to continue to develop Composer, its recently launched digital publishing platform for creating children’s interactive book apps on the iPad, as well as to advance EDC’s interactive books on the platform.
Composer is a code-free tool that enables publishers and self-published authors and illustrators to create interactive books for the iPad, right on the device itself. It is now available for free download for a limited time from the App Store (http://bit.ly/getcomposer).
