CRM giant Salesforce (NYSE:CRM) completed the previously announced acquisition of Tableau Software, a Seattle, WA-based data analytics platform.
The deal amounted to $15.7 Billion.
With Tableau, Salesforce will enable companies around the world to tap into data across their entire business and surface insights to make smart decisions, drive intelligent, connected customer experiences and accelerate innovation.
Tableau will make Salesforce Customer 360 stronger, and together with Einstein, will enable Salesforce to offer a complete AI-powered analytics platform for everyone.
As part of the CRM company, Tableau will operate independently under the Tableau brand and will continue to be led by CEO Adam Selipsky and the current leadership team.
