DTN, a Minneapolis, Minnesota-based independent source of insights, analysis and decision-support solutions, acquired Weatherzone, an Australian from provider of weather information to consumers and businesses across major industry sectors.
Nine Entertainment (ASX:NEC) was the seller in the deal, whose amount was not disclosed.
With the acquisition, DTN aims to bring accurate, actionable insights to consumers and customers in weather-sensitive industries throughout the world.

The company provides hundreds of businesses across the country including some of the largest companies in aviation, mining, energy and utilities, with weather insights to keep their business running efficiently and their people safe.
Mark Hardy, founder and board member, will rejoin the business as Managing Director and will continue to drive customer value.
