U-Nest, a North Hollywood, Calif.-based provider of a college savings app, raised a new funding round which brought total seed round to $3.5m.
In the end of November 2019, the startup had announced a $2.45m seed funding round.
Backers included Northwestern Mutual Future Ventures, the venture capital arm of Northwestern Mutual, which joined Group 11 and The Artemis Fund, Draper Dragon, Unlock Ventures, Vested Ventures, additional Los Angeles-based venture funds, Band of Angels, and other individual angel investors.
The company intends to use the funds to further deepen its support team and accelerate its outreach, and product and partner development.
Led by Ksenia Yudina, CEO and founder, U-Nest provides a mobile app that allows families to save for college and other educational expenses. The company is a fully accredited and registered financial advisor with SEC and FINRA.
The iOS app is already available.
