Ge.tt, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based start-up that is developing a browser-based file transfer service, has raised €350k in venture capital funding from Atomico.
Formed October 2010 by CEO Tobias Baunbæk and Mathias Buus Madsen, Ge.tt is an instant, real-time file publishing and sharing service for all types of materials including documents, video, music and photos. Suitable for professional and personal use, Ge.tt allows users to turn any type of file into web content and share it in the browser. They aren’t required to install any software or even register to use the service.
The company intends to use the funding to hire new staff. The team currently consists of four developers, including the two founders, and a designer.
Ge.tt recently released an API that allows developers to create plugins for the service, or use it in their own applications.
