Polyvore, Inc., a Silicon Valley-based online fashion community site, has raised $14m in Series C financing.
The round was led by DAG Ventures, with participation from new investors Goldman Sachs and Vivi Nevo (NV Investments) and existing backers Benchmark Capital and Matrix Partners.
The company intends to use the capital to recruit engineers.
Co-founded in 2007 by CTO Pasha Sadri and CEO Jess Lee, Polyvore is a large fashion community site that allows users to discover their style and set trends around the world. It is known for fashion sets – digital collages that users create by combining their favorite products from across the web. Its global community has created over 42 million fashion sets. The site is also used by designers and retailers including Gucci, Lancôme, and Nordstrom.
The company currently has 39 employees.
