Fabric8Labs, a San Diego, CA-based additive manufacturing startup startup, closed $19M in Series A funding.
The round was led by Intel Capital with participation from Lam Capital, TDK Ventures, SE Ventures, imec.xpand, Stanley Ventures, and Mark Cuban.
The company intends to use the funds to:
- accelerate the commercialization of its novel manufacturing approach and
- create new applications across multiple market verticals, including semiconductor packaging, electronics, medical, thermal management, and RF components.
Founded in 2015 by Jeff Herman, CEO, Fabric8Lab is a metal additive manufacturing company with advanced 3D printing technologies. It leverages a patented process that fabricates complex metal parts at the atomic level, enabling superior feature resolution and enhanced material properties. The system operates near room temperature thus minimizing total energy consumption compared to legacy products.
