Game Jolt, a Seattle, WA-based social platform for Gen Z gamers and creators to share and discover content around their favorite video games, raised $2.6m in seed funding.
The round was led by Acequia Capital with participation from Madrona Venture Group, Graph Ventures, and Inventures Collective, as well as tech leaders including the founders of Twitch, Rec Room, and Mod.io.
The company will use the capital to build in-app live streaming, discoverability and monetization for its game-based content creators.
Led by cofounder and CEO Yaprak DeCarmine, Game Jolt is a community platform for gamers to share and find content, with 40,000 communities for top games like Minecraft and Pokémon and emerging titles like Five Nights at Freddy’s and Among Us.
Game Jolt is available on the web and on mobile apps for iOS and Android, both in open beta.
