CellBank Technologies, a Beachwood, OH-based company that will collect and then store bone marrow and stem cells from patients who have knee and hip replacement surgeries each year, has received $25k in funding.
The provider of the resources is the Innovation Fund, which was founded by the Lorain County Community College Foundation to award early-stage capital to technology-based companies in Northeast Ohio.
The company will use the funding to validate its technologies and business concepts.
With its solutions, CellBank will provide customers with the opportunity to use their own tissues for their own (autologous) bone grafting surgeries and for future approved stem cell therapies.
