Practically Green Closes $1M Seed Round of Funding

Practically Green, a Cambridge, MA-based provider of digital sustainability engagement programs, has closed a $1m seed round of funding.

The round was led by CommonAngels, with participation from Jeffrey Hollender, co-founder of Seventh Generation, the Clean Energy Venture Group and the clean-tech family office Pan Asia Solar.

The company intends to use the new capital to pursue continued growth in its core digital and mobile employee engagement line of business.

Founded in 2010 by Susan Hunt Stevens, Practically Green combines expert content with social and game mechanics to make embracing healthy green behavior. Users can complete actions, accrue points, track their progress, and instantly gain recognition for the positive steps they take.

In conjunction with the investment, Jeffrey Hollender, co-founder of Seventh Generation and Anton Szpitalak, president of Pan Asia Solar, have joined the company’s board of directors.
