buymie, a Dublin, Ireland-based basket same-day grocery delivery platform, raised €7M in funding.
The round was led by Grosvenor Food & AgTech, Act Venture Capital, Sure Valley Ventures, Haatch Ventures, and HBAN with participation from Keith Weed CBE, and Eamonn Quinn.
The company intends to use the funds to continue rapid market expansion both in Ireland and in the UK, with over 200 other cities currently being considered.
Led by CEO Devan Hughes, buymie provides a big-basket same-day grocery delivery platform which leverages a real-time order bundling algorithm to reduce the number of individual consumer car trips for groceries. The company works closely with official retail partners Dunnes Stores, Lidl, The Co-op, and Asda. buymie has expanded to a team of 70+ with a network of over 400 personal shoppers.
The service is available to over 2 million households across Dublin, Limerick, Cork and Galway and Leeds and Bristol in the UK.
