Uplift Labs, a Palo Alto, CA-based provider of AI-powered technology that delivers real-time movement tracking and 3D analysis to enhance performance and health using a smartphone, raised $2.5M in Seed funding.
The round, which brought total funding to $5.5m, was led by Seth Curry, Callie Rivers Curry, David DeCastro, Atma Capital, LAUNCH Fund and The Syndicate, and Ethos Fund. They joined initial Seed backers RCVC, DEEPCORE, Stadia Ventures, Oregon Sports Angels, Gaingels, Marc Gasol, and Renee Montgomery.
The company intends to use the funds to develop a single-camera version of its solution, to make this technology truly portable.
Led by CEO Sukemasa Kabayma, Chief Technology Officer Jonathan Wills and Chief AI Officer Rahul Rajan, Uplift provides AI-powered technology that delivers real-time movement tracking and 3D analysis using the smartphone, which enables coaches, trainers and physical therapists the ability to analyze movement more accurately and provide feedback to athletes at all levels, to optimize their performance and mitigate the risk of injury.
Currently, a half dozen MLB teams, the NBA and GOLFTEC, the world’s largest golf instruction company, are among their notable clients.
