Huntress, a Reston, VA-based managed cybersecurity platform for small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs), received $40 million in debt financing.
CIBC Innovation Banking provided the financing.
The company plans to use the financing for M&A opportunities, research, product development, and expansion into international markets across Canada, the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
Led by Kyle Hanslovan, CEO, Huntress protects small and mid-sized businesses from modern cyberattackers via a managed security platform defends users from persistent footholds, ransomware and other attacks.
The company recently acquired Curricula, an engaging security awareness training platform that uses story-based learning to communicate cyber risk to employees.
Existing investors in Huntress include JMI Equity Partners, Forgepoint Capital, Gula Tech Adventures.
