Junar, a Palo Alto, CA-based provider of a just launched Open Data platform, has raised $1.2m in initial funding.
Backers include Aurus, Austral Capital and angel investors in Latin America and the US.
Led by CEO and co-founder Diego May, Junar provides a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) data management system that enables businesses, governments, and organizations to organize and present data that they want to share.
The platform provides a simple workflow that allows users to extract datasets, build graphical views, and manage data publishing.
The company also has an office in Santiago de Chile.
