ddmap.com, a Chinese lifestyle information website, has raised more than US$40m in financing.
The equity round was led by F&H, with participation from CID and Middle East sovereign funds.
Founded in 2005 and led by CEO Xu Longjiang, the company intends to use the funds to develop its mobile internet business across forty urban markets, with a focus on promoting ddcoupon, a mobile coupon app owned by ddmap.com, which entitles users to discounts at designated merchants by showing the mobile page displaying the coupon.
ddcoupon, which has recorded nearly 10 million downloads, offers more than 50,000 coupons offering services including dining, entertainment and leisure, beauty salons and personal care services in nearly 40 cities in China, with expansions into small and medium-sized cities and regions underway.
In January 2012, ddcoupon is available for Windows Phone, iOS, Android and Symbian.
