Lunar, an Aarhus, Denmark-based challenger bank, raised €35m in funding.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach, shortening the path to profitability, continue its expansion in the Nordic region, offer new digital banking solutions to the customers.
The Nordic fintech company Lunar, which is a modern alternative to traditional banks, raises 35 million EUR to invest in and develop the business and reach profitability even faster.
Led by Founder and CEO Ken Villum Klausen, Lunar is an independent, regulated and licensed bank. More than 500,000 users in Denmark, Sweden and Norway use it, including 13,000 entrepreneurs who use Lunar Business to manage their business finances. The team consists of over 450 employees working from headquarters in Aarhus and offices in Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo.
Investors included HEARTLAND, Kinnevik, Tencent, Seed Capital, Augustinus Fabrikker, Greyhound Capital and Socii Capital.
