MYNE, a Berlin, Germany-based provider of a co-ownership platform, acquired its German competitor VillaCircle.
The amount of the deal, which follows the completion of a €23.5M seed financing round, was not disclosed.
With the acquisition, MYNE will increase its portfolio and strengthen itself in the market. The deal will see MYNE take over the real estate and customer care of VillaCircle, and existing operations will be transferred to its platform.
Led by Roland Schaber, Founder, VillaCircle offers fractional-ownership of luxurious holiday homes in Spain, Austria, Croatia, and on the Côte d’Azur.
Led by Nikolaus Thomale, Founder, MYNE specializes in managed co-ownership of holiday properties that offers the opportunity to purchase shares in domiciles in popular holiday destinations. Co-owners can use the property themselves and/or rent it out via the digital platform. For a monthly fee, MYNE takes over the comprehensive management of the property – starting with the installation, through to operation to maintenance.
The company currently offers properties in Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, Portugal and France.
