Sonio, a Paris, France-based prenatal care company, raised $14M in Series A funding.
Backers included Cross-Border Impact Ventures, European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA), Elaia, OneRagtime, Bpifrance, and business angels.
This company intends to use the funds to:
- Launch sales in the United States
- Accelerate R&D to advance in imaging and genomics capabilities
- Adapt its innovative technology for portable ultrasound devices and Point of Care.
Led by Cecile Brosset Dubois, Remi Besson, Dagmar Nuber, Deepak Prakash, and David Amouyal, Sonio provides an AI-software platform guiding practitioners during prenatal ultrasound scans to secure prenatal screening and optimize prenatal diagnosis. Sonio Diagnostics combines the patient’s medical history, genetic and biological data, and ultrasound semiology to assist physicians on the path to the right diagnosis. Sonio Pro, assists sonographers during prenatal screening scans, helping them ensure that they have not forgotten anything, take risk factors into account, and facilitating the sharing of images with patients and other health professionals. Sonio Share enables health care professionals to easily share ultrasound images and clips with your patients.
