Betterspace, an Ilmenau, Germany-based provider of software and hardware solutions, raised a 7-Figure investment from Round2 Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to further develop its better.energy solution technically, discover further use cases, and expand operations.
Founded in September 2014 by Alexander Spisla and Benjamin Köhler, Betterspace is a provider of a smart software solutions for the hotel industry in the areas of digital guest communication (better.guest) and intelligent energy management (better.energy). It supports hotels on their journey of digital transformation, always with the goal of reducing costs, promoting sustainability, maximizing revenues, and relieving hotel staff. The company has developed the better.energy IoT platform solution based on LoRaWAN, and it is now also available for other industries.
Headquartered in Ilmenau, with a branch office in Kassel, Betterspace now has more than 1,700 customers in more than 10 countries and a team of more than 50 people.

This enables us to equip not only hotels but also various other industries such as healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and office buildings with our intelligent energy management solution, better.energy, thus ensuring energy savings and a reduction in CO2 emissions.“
