Kota Raises €5M in Seed Funding

Kota (formerly known as Yonder), a Dublin, Ireland-based provider of a platform to automate insurance and retirement benefits, closed a €5m seed funding.

The round was led by EQT Ventures with participation from existing investors Northzone and Frontline Ventures, as well as Job Van Der Voort, Romain Huet, and David Clarke, among others. 

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.

Co-founded by Luke Mackey, Patrick O’Boyle, and Deepak Baliga, Kota provides a platform to access health, life and retirement providers, with flexible contributions, and an employee app. It also automates finance and payroll for consolidated reporting for the finance department.

The platform has already integrated with providers such as, Irish Life, Allianz Partners, Smart Pension, and others, has syncs with existing HR tools such as Personio, Humaans, HiBob, Bamboo HR and Workday.

Customers include Spotlight Oral Care, Unmind and Fonoa, among others.
