SubtleData Inc., an Austin, TX-basedĀ provider of an app that connects mobile applications to Point of Sale systems, has raised over $500k in seed funding.
Backers include Joshua Baer, Mellie Price, Bryan Menell, Jon Armstrong, Jeff Gemperle, Adam Weisberg, and Nathan K Smith.
The company intends to use the funding to continue to expand their Point of Sale integrations and number of mobile developers.
Led by new CEO Bryan Menell and founder and CTO Richard M. Bagdonas, SubtleData designs, develops, and manages Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that connect mobile devices to the majority of existing Point of Sale systems in a platform-as-a-service environment. The company said that over 200 companies are using the platform, including applications that empower consumers to split checks at restaurants, purchase drinks for their friends, track loyalty and rewards points, and connect with other people at night clubs.
To use the platform, developers can register for a free account at https://www.subtledata.com/start, and sign up for a 1:1 tour of SubtleData APIs.
