Texray, a Gothenburg, Sweden-based developer of radiation protection solutions, raised SEK 45M in funding.
The round was led by Industrifonden with participation from private investors at Impilo.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.
Led by CEO Petra Apell, Texray has developed a radiation protection textile to address the need for comfortable and safe personal protection equipment (PPE). Its material is currently used in products designed for healthcare professionals exposed to X-ray radiation during surgical interventions. The material may also provide value for professionals in various industry sectors, including nuclear, aero, and space.
Texray’s technology offers a high level of protection and prioritizes the comfort and well-being of healthcare professionals dedicated to the safety and care of others. Its patented technology platform has secured CE/FDA registrations and regulatory approvals across key global markets, including Europe, Japan, and the US.
