LiveKit, a San Jose, CA-based provider of a platform for building and scaling voice applications, raised $22M in Series A funding.
The round was led by Altimeter Capital with participation from Redpoint Ventures as well as angel investors including Jeff Dean, Elad Gil, Aravind Srinivas, Ahmad Masad and Guillermo Rauch.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.
Led by Russ D’Sa, CEO, LiveKit is an open-source realtime platform that enables developers to build and scale voice, video, and data capabilities into their applications. Over 20,000 developers and teams, ranging from public companies to solo hackers, use LiveKit.
