Karman Industries, a Long Beach, CA-based company electrifying global manufacturing, raised $4M in Pre-Seed funding.
The round was led by Riot Ventures in partnership with Space VC.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.
Led by CEO David Tearse, Karman Industries is electrifying industrial thermal energy use to help global enterprises reduce both manufacturing costs and onsite Scope 1 emissions. The company brings together advancements in hardware technology, industrial manufacturing, and additional proprietary innovations to engineer the Thermal01 electric heat pump.
Thermal01 is a mass-manufactured, and self-contained electric heat pump that leverages advanced manufacturing techniques and technologies from other industries, including turbomachinery from the rocket sector and high-frequency power electronics popularized by the electric vehicle market.
