Lorikeet, a Sydney, Australia-based AI customer experience startup, raised $5M in Seed funding.
Backers included Square Peg Capital and other investors.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its global expansion, bringing its AI-powered customer service to more organizations worldwide.
Led by CEO Steve Hind and Jamie Hall, Lorikeet (previously known as Optech) provides an advanced AI customer support agent, empowered by an AI architecture that solves complex issues while maintaining high customer satisfaction. Rather than relying solely on retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) models, Lorikeet’s architecture leverages an AI agent who is able to refer to and follow the same standard operating procedures that top support agents follow. This allows the AI to retrieve information and actively solve complex customer support problems.
Customers include Remote.com, Eucalyptus, Step, Stashaway, Chemist2U, and Sensorflow.
