Boulder, CO-based The Jackfruit Company and its consumer brand, Jack & Annie’s, raised $5m in Series B extension funding.
Backers included InvestEco, Creadev, and Grosvenor Food & AgTech.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations, and its development efforts.
Founded in 2011 by Annie Ryu, The Jackfruit Company produces 100% vegetarian dishes, all natural, all featuring jackfruit as the primary ingredient. Today, the company works with over 1000 farming families to supply jackfruit to over 6000 retailers in the United States.
