Conscia, a Brøndby, Hovedstaden, Denmark-based provider of cybersecurity and networking solutions for IT infrastructure in large organisations, acquired PlanNet21, a Dublin, Ireland-based provider of cybersecurity, networking, and managed services operating in the Irish and UK markets.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
With the acquisition, Conscia will expand its offerings and accelerate its growth journey.
Founded in 1998 and led by CEO Peter Carroll, PlanNet21 is a technology solutions provider. With a unified architecture approach, they possess all the key attributes to evaluate, design, commission and support complex solutions for some of the industry’s largest customers across a range of sectors including enterprise, public sector, education and multinationals. The company, with over 200 people, has offices across Dublin, Cork, Galway, Belfast and Edinburgh. PlanNet21 had revenues close to EUR 70m in 2022/23 and approximately 300 customers.
Led by CEO Erik Bertman, Conscia designs, implements, and manages secure cybersecurity and networking services and solutions. The company supports more than 1,000 customers across Europe in finance, healthcare, manufacturing, utilities, retail, and the public sector. It is represented in Denmark, Germany, Norway, Slovenia, Sweden, the Netherlands, and the UK and is owned by a sector-specialised private equity investor Nordic Capital.
The company has grown organically and through acquisitions over the years, and the combined current business including PlanNet21 Group generate revenue in excess of EUR 700 million in 2022/23.
