Kick, a Palo Alto, CA-based startup that creates accounting and bookkeeping AI agents, raised $9M in funding.
The round was led by General Catalyst and OpenAI Startup Fund, with support from Lachy Groom (Ex-Stripe), Michael Vaughn (Ex-Venmo), Eric Glyman, Karim Atiyeh (Founders, Ramp), Nick DavidovĀ (DVC),Ā Ā Sahil LavingiaĀ (CEO, Gumroad),Ā Austen AllredĀ (CEO, Bloomtech),Ā Tikhon BerstramĀ (Co-Founder, Parse),Ā Soleio CuervoĀ (Ex-Facebook),Ā Scott BelskyĀ (CSO, Adobe)Ā Joshua BrowderĀ (CEO, DoNotPay) and 50 others.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and its development efforts.
Founded by Conrad Wadowski, Kick is an applied AI company building a self-driving bookkeeping experience by bringing together machine and tax code to automate the finances for millions of business owners. The system has the ability to organize personal expenses, properly identifying business-related expenses such as software and subscriptions, meals, travel, and home office costs.
Kick runs in the background to handle the work users don’t want to do, all while keeping them in full control.
