ARX Equity Partners, a Prague, Czech Republic-based lower mid-cap focused private equity firm, announced the first close of its fifth fund, ARX CE V, at €78M.
First close investors included the EIF and EBRD in addition to other investors, family offices and private investors respectively.
The fund, which has a target of €100M and hard-cap of €125M, will continue to
execute ARX’s value creation strategy of investing in lower mid-cap SMEs in selected Central European countries and includes commitments from the European Investment Fund
and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
ARX anticipated that the majority of the Fund will be deployed within the Czech Republic. The vehicle will also complement its Czech focus with additional investments in neighbouring Central European countries that offer attractive investment environments.
ARX is a lower mid-market focused private equity firm targeting investments in select
countries of Central Europe. The ARX family of funds focuses on later stage investments,
such as succession driven acquisitions, shareholder restructurings, industry consolidation
transactions and corporate divestitures. Its team continues to be anchored by its three Managing Partners (Michal Aron, Tomas Lansky and Brian Wardrop).
To date, the firm has completed 33 platform investments and numerous add-on acquisitions during its 27-year operating history across the region.
