Liquid Robotics, a Sunnyvale, CA-based provider of autonomous ocean robots and high value ocean data services, closed a $45m Series E funding.
The round was led by Riverwood Capital, with participation from existing investor VantagePoint Capital Partners.
The company intends to use the capital to expand its global sales, partner, and services organizations and deliver new solutions for the worldwide Defense, Science & Research, and Oil & Gas markets.
Led by Bill Vass, CEO, Liquid Robotics is an ocean data services provider utilizing long duration, autonomous surface vehicles. Based on the Wave Glider® technology, the company’s ocean data services aim to address big challenges including global climate change, national security, hurricane & tsunami warning, and offshore energy & resource management.
