4Tissue, a Ghent, Belgium-based biotech regenerative medicine company, raised €2M in Seed funding.

Backers included Annemie Van de Casteele, Griet Nuytinck, and Virginie Saverys.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the clinical development of its innovative platform.

Founded by Prof. Phillip Blondeel and Prof. Dr. Sandra Van Vlierbergheled, and led by CEO Dr. Benoit Moreaux, 4Tissue is a biotech company at the forefront of regenerative medicine, utilizing advanced bio-interactive hydrogels to transition from cells to tissue engineering. It develops natural and minimally invasive treatments for tissue reconstruction and regeneration, with applications in different medical fields.

4Tissue is a spin-off from Ghent University (UGent), Ghent University Hospital (UZGent), and the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB).

Other founders include Dr. An Van Den Bulcke (COO), Dr. Lana Van Damme (CSO), and Bernard Depypere, MD.
