Chaos Industries, a Los Angeles, CA-based technology company building new defense and critical industry technologies, raised $145M in Series B funding.
The round, which brought the total amount to $215M, was led by Accel, with participation from 8VC, as well as Overmatch Ventures, Lerner Enterprises, and existing insiders.
The company intends to use the funds for the development of its advanced detection, monitoring, and communication solutions to the defense, government, and commercial sectors, as well as to accelerate its product development, hiring plans, and high-volume manufacturing.
Founded in 2022 by John Tenet, Dr. Bo Marr, Gavin Hood and Brett Cummings, Chaos Industries is a technology company that is building defense and critical industry technologies applying an engineering-led strategy, which provides engineers with a platform to build solutions to real-world problems. Its sprint engineering system leads to rapid prototyping, while deep partnerships with defense and industry ensure real-world application.
Chaos Industries is actively developing a suite of products known as Coherent Distributed Networks™, which enables high performance for sensors and effectors. The first product in this category, Vanquish™, is a dual-use, multistatic commercial radar that provides early warning and tracking capabilities against unmanned aerial systems (UAS), missiles, and aircraft.
The company also recently announced the appointment of former U.S. Congressman and Central Intelligence Agency veteran Will Hurd as its Chief Strategy Officer.
