Lagoa (formerly known as TeamUp), a Montreal, Canada-based developer of a SaaS platform for creatives to Visualize 3D content working in Engineering, Architecture and Media & Entertainment, recently raised $1.6m in seed funding.
Backers included 500 Startups, Rho Ventures, Atlas Venture, Real Ventures, and other angel investors.
Founded by Thiago Costa, Arno Zinke and Dov Amihod, Lagoa provides Lagoa MultiOptics®, a cloud based platform that enables creators to compose, layout and interactively render high-quality 3d in the browser, elimitinating hardware and software cost.
The company recently opened an office in Cambridge, MA, which is led by CMO Mike Schneider and is setting up European operations in Bonn, Germany.
